Cheri Perry will be offering this two hour workshop linking yoga poses to paddling and rolling a kayak. Assisting Cheri in this workshop is a special friend, Leslie Fiore (E-RYT 500) she is the founder of Port Yoga.(www.portyoga.com) She has studied yoga for over 10 years and taught for over 7 years. Join us and learn how to lengthen your spine, strengthen your core, stretch out your hamstrings, get better balance, find additional rotation, and more. All poses will be accompanied by a discussion about how these will benefit your paddling and rolling skills. There will be a focus on kayak rolling, and specific land drills to help you improve your roll! This session is open to folks new to yoga as well as experienced yogi's and yoginis!
Cheri Perry is co-owner of Kayak Ways LLC a Kayak Instructor for 20 years, and has her 200 Hour YogaSpirit certification. Cheri uses her basic knowledge of yoga with her extensive experience of teaching paddling and rolling to offer participants insights into improving their overall strength and flexibility with Paddlesports in mind. Leslie Fiore (E-RYT 500) is the founder of Port Yoga. She has studied yoga for over 10 years and taught for over 7 years.
Leslie has studied extensively with Master teachers Elena Brower, John Friend, Ann Greene, Todd Norian, Desiree Rumbaugh, Rod Stryker and many others. She is forever grateful to her mentor and teacher Julie Miller for her endless support. Leslie received her first 200 hr certification with Kim Valerie of YogaSpirit Studios. She received her second 200 hr certification with Todd Norian. She is a certified Anusara Yoga® teacher.
