Ipik, the new Gearlab paddle, has been designed in collaboration with Kayak Ways. The Ipik is the first oval loom in the Gearlab collection.  The oval loom shape transitions to the blade through the shoulder, offering the paddler a seamless 'feel' that cultivates an immediate tactile sense of ergonomic comfort.  The result encourages a deeper understanding of the canted stroke, a technique that frees the blades to sing in their work, rather than flutter and squawk. As the shoulder transitions into the blade faces the result is a remarkably efficient lenticular section. Like the unshouldered Kalleq, the blades are quite sharp .  At just under 600 grams, Ipik is the lightest paddle from Gearlab. In utilizing a cutting edge, continuous carbon-wrapping technology, the Ipik provides a most positive  weight to performance ratio.  Currently available in a 219cm length/only.  Additional sizes coming soon. Like other Gearlab paddles, Ipik has a positive and tight join, interchangeable tips, and is backed by extraordinary customer service.  Currently awaiting stock, anticipating shipment in December.
